Customer service

I had a small mishap with my mototote however it was entirely user error. I called and spoke with Marvin and his customer service has been stellar. He answers the phone and addresses me by my first name and I told him the situation I had and assured him it was not a fault of the tote and entirely my fault. I was calling to purchase an item as a replacement and ultimately Marvin told me not to worry about it, that he would ship it to me free of charge. These guys are awesome and stand by their product. Much respect to Marvin. I highly recommend their product and have nothing but great things to say about their customer service. Thank you Marvin!

Hitch bolt

These guys are great and I love the bike carrier.

Don’t dig Proprietary stuff

Wish I could just use a hitch pin and anti wobble device, but that would require me drilling a larger hole in the carrier. So I ordered a spare pin, which works great and is high quality, but proprietary to mototote.

S1000XR on a Honda Ridgeline

I've used the Max+ to transport my Honda CRF300L, Aprilia Tuono, and BMW S1000XR. I drove from MA to NC with the1000XR on the hitch of a 2020 Honda Ridgeline. There was a little movement, but I made the trip without any issues.

Washer is not thick enough

I use the Max+ to carry my S1000RR track bike and it works great. But to stop the wobble you need to make sure this bolt is tight, but the washer is not thick enough. I think I will replace it with two thicker washers, because it bends into the hold as the hole on the site of your hitch is a bit bigger than the washer (for obvious reasons).

Works as advertised

Great! Got rid of the wobble that’s always made me a little nervous transporting my motorcycles over the years.

Very frustrated and let down!

First off, thank you for the opportunity to leave this review. The product I ordered is great. The problem I have is I ordered 2 and only received 1. I have used your customer support email system and after messages twice over a period of two weeks I have not heard anything back.. I love Moto-tote as I have 2, and my buddy has 1 and another friend has 1ect. But I am very dissatisfied with your customer service or lack there of.

New & Improved

I’ve owned my MotoTote about 10 years and, quite frankly, I thought the original wobble bolt was perfect but they somehow managed to find a way to improve upon it.

The new one requires half as many tools (1), and it’s twice as hard to lose or misplace.

However, what I’d really like to note is MotoTote’s exemplary service. I recently had a 9AM service appointment at a dealer 200 miles away. When I went to load the bike I could not locate my original wobble bolt.

Located in Coppell (TX), MotoTote’s offices are about 30 miles away from my home and office. In desperation I went to MotoTote’s website, sent a short note about my predicament, and asked if it would be possible to purchase a new wobble bolt online and pick it at their office ASAP.

I hit ‘Send’ and hoped for the best. I didn’t have to wait long…

Within 10 minutes I received a call from MotoTote’s parts manager who, sympathetic to my plight, offered to make the 60-mile roundtrip (in one of the most over congested driving areas in the entire country) to personally deliver an $18 part to me at no charge.

As with their bike haulers, MotoTote’s service is second to none.

Works just as it should. Follow the instructions and torque it down hard!
