To calculate the requirements for your electric bikes, add the weight of the carrier to your electric bikes, then multiply that number by 10 to factor for tongue capacity. Follow this example to calculate the minimum required towing capacity for hauling (2) 200 lb. electric bikes with a Mini Dual carrier. 200 lbs. + 200 lbs. (2 Electric Bikes) + 63 lbs. (Carrier) = 463 lbs. 463 lbs. (Net Weight) x 10 = 4,630 lbs. (Minimum Required Towing Capacity)

Additional Example:

(1) 100 lb. electric bike + (1) 150 lb. electric bike) = 3,080 lbs. minimum required towing capacity for vehicle.
