TLDR: Overpriced, poor warranty, but functional
I'm writing this review after using the bike rack for a full month of traveling and taking the bike on and off almost every day.
If you're even looking at this bike rack it's likely because you want something that looks nice instead of a regular much more affordable motorcycle rack. I got mine for my Sur Ron and it holds it well just like any other motorcycle rack. However this one is special, every time I roll my bike off the back of it, one of the end caps on the rack pops off, the same will happen only slightly less often when I put it on.
They also left probably a full tsp of bead blasting media in both the main tubes, so every time I pick it up it sounds like one of those rain sticks and a tiny bit spills onto the floor (I sat for probably 20 minutes flipping the thing end over end when I got it and it's still not all out). I get they can't weld the tubes closed bc welding reasons (pressure, temperature, blowing out your bead). But this makes me think the reason why they have such a poor warranty of just 1 year is that these things will rust out, not after a year of course but enough time I'm sure there will be a fair amount of rust on the corners where the paint chips and inside the tubes around the welds. I mean why not have a longer warranty for some welded steel tube with no moving parts.
I get it though, you're paying for the looks and you're paying for it to be made in the US. I think if you're looking for a better rack just get the one from 1UP meant for the Sur Ron, it's not cheap, but you don't need to use ratchet straps every time to strap your bike down, they're also made in the USA, they have a lifetime warranty, and they wont rust out since they're made from aluminum. Otherwise nearly any other basic motorcycle rack will work just as well as this one and be cheaper.
