Max Motorcycle Carrier - Overview

Our elite motorcycle, scooter and dirt bike hitch carrier - proudly made in Texas. Weighing 59 lbs. and hauling motorcycles up to 600 lbs., it offers outstanding structural efficiency with innovative adjustable parts; a two-piece/locking front wheel chock, an advanced tire track for standard size tires, front & rear broad tie down arms with a patented design, an elongated ramp with quicker loading access and a stabilizing single bolt connection to vehicles. Release your concerns and haul in maximum confidence with the MotoTote Max.

MTX Platform

Heavy-duty steel main support connects to 2" receivers, hauls up to 600 lbs. (272 kgs.), supports chock, track, orientation, and distance from vehicle adjustability, alongside the attachment of innovative components.

StableStop Chock

Adjustable two-piece tire mount locks front tires up to 4.75" (120 mm) wide into chock, maximizes support, and holds the bike upright while securing tie-downs.

MaxHold Track

Laser cut track with advanced geometry reduces carrier weight, grips/wedges rear tires up to 6" (152 mm) wide into the track, and accomodates up to a 62" (157 cm) wheelbase.

BroadPull+ Arms (Front & Back)

Two wide tie-down arms maximize tie down leverage on the front and rear of the motorcycle. Patented shape increases carrier clearance on hills and off-road.

QuickLoad Ramp

A long laser-cut ramp increases tire's traction, eases the loading angle and unhooks from the same side the ramp connects for a quicker loading process.

ZeroWobble+ Hitch Mount

Upgraded single-bolt hitch mount installs quickly, requires fewer tools and eliminates rack movement in transport.

My MotoTote Max Carrier

This is constructive criticism. I received my Max carrier pretty quickly after ordering. When I received it everything was spotless, but I did not receive any of the hardware to put it together. Made one call, and they shipped me the hardware. In putting the unit together, I had to go on line to the company's website to get directions. The directions are very vague and could use more photos of your actual kit and not just make it for all the different hitch carriers they sell. During the building process, the driver's side tie down bar would absolutely not fit into the space provided on the main platform. Tt was probably off by at least an 1/8". The other side fit perfectly. I had to use a 10 pound sledge hammer to force it into position. (A good idea for the company is to insure all the parts fit accordingly before being powdercoated) Other than that, all the holes lined up. I went with their standard rear brake light kit, rather than the led one. The standard light kit mounted perfectly and the lights are plenty bright. I did go to Harbor Freight, and for $15.00, I bought a 4 pin to 7 pin trailer adapter for my 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD truck. The lights all work correctly. I loaded my 2023 KTM 890 Adventure R, and the rack is rock solid. I did buy through the company the rear tire "Tyrefix" tie down system, and that worked great. I'm still giving a 5 star review, because it seems like a well built carrier, and the company was quick on their customer service, and apologetic for my hardware not being included in the kit.

MotoTote Awesome!

I've used other dirt bike haulers, but this one is the best. Super heavy duty, and easy to put together. Light package is a must as it completes the total package. Very clean unit all together and gives great peace of mind when hauling a $10K bike.

First trip

Just got back from my maiden trip using my new carrier.
Worked out great. Easy get the bike on and off.
Definitely recommend this to anyone with a 500lb bike.

Great hitch rack but expensive

Very well designed, built and finished. For the price, it should include the light kit which I think is a necessity. Strong stable ramp that makes it easy to load. Definitely adds peace of mind for longer trips compared to generic, less expensive options. See video review here:

Top service

Great product, the material used is quality all really very nice and easy to assemble. The only peculiarity is that the paint comes off easily. the shipping service was fast and efficient, missing a bag to complete the purchase, I immediately wrote an email and kindly answered me and sent immediately the missing pieces. I recommend everyone to buy it and buy by mototote.

Built to Last

This thing is built like a tank. Yet light enough to lift and install with no issues. I will not have to worry about our scooter falling off of the back of our motorhome while driving. Driving a motorhome is a full time job and spending the extra money for quality like this Max MotoTote which is built in the USA, takes a ton of stress off of my shoulders. You can't go wrong on this purchase. Piece of mind is worth a lot more than the asking price.

Solid carrier

This carrier has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It's almost 40% lighter than some of the "other" motorcycle carriers, which is a big deal for people doing this solo who aren't built like linebackers.

The "zero wobble" design is quite effective at eliminating the side-to-side wobble but doesn't completely eliminate up and down wobble. This isn't typically an issue unless you're on bumpy or wash-boarded roads. Adding an additional anti-wobble clamp will really lock this thing down.

I'm assuming the parts are powder coated, however, after the initial unboxing there were several chips exposing bare metal. Not a huge deal but disappointing. Each part was completely wrapped in foam so I can only assume the parts were chipped prior to packaging. At this price point I'd expect better quality control.

Finally, no instructions were included, just a note to go online to find instructions. For the money being spent they should send you a complete product. When I'm out on the driveway trying to install this thing I'd prefer to have a booklet to refer to instead of having to go back and forth to watch youtube videos. Of all the things to cut corners on, why the instructions?

Overall it's a great carrier and will serve you well but for what they're charging it could use a bit more polishing.

Awesome rack!

Great quality! Easy to use and looks great on my vehicle. I got the tie down kit and the rear lights and love all 3 products. Super happy customer!

Customer review

I love the Carrier the quality is above and beyond what I expected I tried it the day after I received it and all I can say is that I am really happy I bought it, I drove with my scooter for over 70 miles I had to stop once to check the straps and the carrier and it was solid.
