I used the tire sling for the first time over the weekend. Not only does it hold the rear tire down well, but it also adds stability to the whole bike. The entire MotoTote system worked flawlessly.

I bought this tire tie down the same time I bought the carrier , on the second time i used it I noticed the hook kept on coming off the carrier, it appears the piece that keeps the hook look into place has to spring tension . This caused the hook to come off when pulling up. I’ve learned to just live with it , it’s just an annoyance when it comes undone or when the ratchet is stuck open.

When I bought my Mototote about 18mo ago I skipped buying the tire sling, figuring I'd just use my tie downs and save some money.
