TECHNOLOGY & FEATURES

MTX Platform

Heavy-duty steel main support connects to 2" receivers, hauls up to 600 lbs. (272 kgs.), supports chock, track, orientation, and distance from vehicle adjustability, alongside the attachment of innovative components.

StableStop Chock

Adjustable two-piece tire mount locks front tires up to 4.75" (120 mm) wide into chock, maximizes support, and holds the bike upright while securing tie-downs.

MaxHold Track

Laser cut track with advanced geometry reduces carrier weight, grips/wedges rear tires up to 6" (152 mm) wide into the track, and accommodates most wheelbases up to a 62" (165 cm).

BroadPull+ Arms (Front & Back)

Two wide tie-down arms maximize tie down leverage on the front and rear of the motorcycle. Patented shape increases carrier clearance on hills and off-road.

QuickLoad Ramp

A long laser-cut ramp increases tire's traction, eases the loading angle and unhooks from the same side the ramp connects for a quicker loading process.

HitchLift Receiver Tube

Innovative 2" receiver tube counteracts common vehicle hitch droop with a slight upward bend, ensuring that the rack is angled correctly from the back of the vehicle. Provides additional ground clearance, attachment of ramp and distance from vehicle adjustability.

ZeroWobble+ Hitch Mount

Upgraded single-bolt hitch mount installs quickly, requires fewer tools and eliminates rack movement in transport.

MotoTote Max usage in Switzerland

https://www.brixton-motorcycles.com/models/crossfire-125-xs/

Feststellungen:

Everything is O.k - the points listed are suggestions

MotoTote is used in Switzerland / Zurich. Removable rear platforms are legally roadworthy in Switzerland / EU. In contrast to the EU only vehicles that are not wider than the vehicle itself can be loaded. This means that only pocket bikes such as a Honda Monkey, etc. can be legally loaded. All other undivided sports equipment >= 2.5m must be loaded onto a trailer. The only exceptions are (e-) bicycles

With a Brixton Crossfire XS and a Defender 300tdi BJ96 and some adjustments, this works legally on the road in CH / EU https://www.brixton-motorcycles.com/models/crossfire-125-xs/

Findings:
- a screw was missing EU LED rear light kit, mounting LED lights frame to the carrier tube
- EU rear light has no EC or ECE approval mark on the glass/visible body, therefore not (really) legally roadworthy see here https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECE-Prüfzeichen
- License plate holder did not fit into the carrier tube. The bend itself was ok, but the fold width was not
- must have an electrical connection for the CH / EU mandatory licence plate illumination
- in order not to exceed the vehicle width, an additional hole pattern had to be added to the carrier rail, so that it could be mounted ‘shorter’. As a result, the front wheel no longer engages fully in the tire holder, but this is fine and no issue

Hood product Bad shipping ETA

The carrier is great and easy to use. The problem I had was not with the product it was with the shipping ETA. I read when I order it it would ship at the end of August so I would get it at the beginning of September which was perfect for a ride I had planned for the last weekend of September. I didn't get my carrier till October 3, luckily I could borrow a buddy's MX hauler for the trip.

Max Motorcycle Hitch Carrier

I received my new hitch. It arrived without any issues related to transport. Box intact and all parts accounted for. With very little struggle and tools needed, I was able to assemble the new carrier. I did have one question for I received a quick call back from Moto Tote when I contacted them. After assembly, I immediately tested it by rolling my cycle (350 LBS) up the ramp unassisted. The front wheel chock was able to hold the bike balanced while I tightened the tie down straps. It felt very secure and on my test drive resulted in 0 sag, and 0 wobble at the tongue with my vehicle underway.
Thanks Moto Tote, your delivered!

Absolutely The Best!!!

Can't say enough about the customer service from Marvin at MotoTote. Ordered a Max and needed it in a hurry for my month long trip. Marvin worked on a Sunday afternoon to get me my carrier before I left on my trip. Haven't got the carrier but know that this company and it's products are a class act. Thanks Marvin for making my trip epic!
