The Max+ is for carrying one motorcycle with rear tire width of up to 9 inches and front tire width of up to 5.5 inches.

The Max+ Dual is the two bike version of the Max+ and can carry two motorcycles with a total weight of up to 600 lbs.

The Max Dual is the two bike version of the Max and can carry two motorcycles with a total weight of up to 600 lbs.

The outer bike weight on the Max+ Dual and Max Dual is limited to 250 lbs.

The Max Dual Add On Kit and Max+ Dual Add On Kit are to convert a Max or Max+ to carry two motorcycles.

If you have and aftermarket hitch then total weight of bike plus carrier (60 lbs) is limited to the lower of hitch tongue weight capacity and 10% of vehicle towing capacity.

If you have a factory hitch on your vehicle then tongue weight is limited to 10% of vehicle towing capacity.

The Mini (aka MTM) products, components and parts are not interchangeable with the MTX (Max, Max+, m3, Sport, Max Dual, Max+ Dual) products, components and parts.

The MotoTote carriers are powder coated steel. Powder coating is not magic. It will chip on sharp edges and wear off at points of contact between steel parts and hardware. This is normal and not affect the structural integrity however we understand that it can be unsightly. We recommend getting this matching touch up paint.

It is important to maintain sufficient weight on the vehicles front tires for safe handling in all road conditions. This is why we use 10% of towing capacity as the limiting total weight of the carrier plus bike.
