I was admittedly a bit skeptical about loading my brand-new, 540-pound BMW GSA 900 onto the back of my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The idea of hauling such a substantial bike had me envisioning worst-case scenarios. For extra peace of mind, I even called MotoTote directly, and their customer service was incredibly helpful and reassuring.

After carefully re-reading my motorcycle liability coverage and reviewing MotoTote’s detailed online instructions, I assembled the MotoTote Max and made sure every bolt was properly tightened. Loading the bike solo was surprisingly manageable, especially with the help of a curbside to reduce the ramp angle. Once the bike rolled into the front wheel chuck, it felt stable right away.

I secured it with the MotoTote straps, double-checked the anti-wobble hitch (which I tightened again for good measure), and hit the road—cautiously at first. But as the miles went by, my confidence in this carrier grew. Even at 75 mph, crossing bridges and hitting minor road imperfections, the bike remained solid with barely any movement.

By the third day, heading home, I still remained aware of the load but felt completely secure in the MotoTote’s performance. After unloading the bike, I inspected the hitch and was impressed by the minimal wear.

In short, this carrier exceeded my expectations. It’s well-built, thoughtfully designed, and has made motorcycle transport so much easier and more mobile. MotoTote really nailed it with this product—highly recommended!

So far used once and it worked very well. The craftsmanship looks top notch, well built. Will be using soon to transport a heavier Aprilia Tuareg 660, and I do trust it will hold up well for long distance transports.

Good piece of kit. I recently carried my Africa Twin Adventure Sports and WR450 about 700km(350KM each) without issue. Truck is a 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Offroad. Africa Twin with crash bars weighs roughly 540 pounds including fuel.

The Mototote rack is solid, fairly easy to assemble, easy to load and should last for many years in hauling my XR650L. Rear mounting allows full use of the truck bed, and use of the bed rack, optimizing storage and hauling capacity. Thanks for a great product, Mototote!

I have a toyota sienna, and a yamaha WR250F. I have made two trips now using the moto tote (4 hours of driving with it).It is super easy and quick to put bike on and tie down. Definitely trust it and have no serious issues using it. Only issue is the exhaust points right at the passenger side rear tie down where you clip in. No fault of the hauler but noticed the plastic end cap melted off first trip. Toyota sienna does not have a lot of ground clearance and have slightly dragged the hitch, not the mototote, going over steep dips. Mentioning this for toyota sienna owners the mototote itself is definitely not scraping and not worried about it bottoming out as it comes out the hitch with a slight upward curve to add in clearance. Really happy using it so far, would definitely recommend it.

You get what you pay for. This setup is top notch. Super high quality and very stable. I’ve borrowed and used other hitch carriers in the past and this one is far superior in every way. Kudos on a great product. If you’re on the fence just buy it you won’t regret it.

I ordered my Max Motorcycle Hitch Carrier in the early weeks of December knowing there was a delay in shipping due to Christmas demand. Despite the delay I still received my order about a week and a half later. The package I received was in rough shape. Some of the components were damaged and bent. I reached out to the customer service department and provided photo documentation. They quickly shipped replacement parts to me and fixed all mistakes. I appreciated the no hassle fix.

I wanted to keep my truck bed available for storage that is covered. Assembly went easily and smoothly. Loading my CRF300l Rally was easier than ramping into the truck bed. Tied down, quick and easy. Very solid carry. I opted for the brake and signal light. The dual sport has enough ground clearance that my license plate is still visible. Note: be sure to torque the bolts properly, especially those holding the cross member to the hitch bar. Recommend.

Received my moto tote max hitch to haul my KTM 690 Enduro R on, it’s as advertised for sturdiness and quality. I included the LED light kit and rear tire tie down and couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

Excellent, very well constructed. My trail bike is very stable on the front of my RV
